Overview
Machu Picchu, located in the Cusco region of southeastern Peru, sits at an altitude of 2,430 m in the Andes. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Known as the “Lost City of the Incas,” it was abandoned after the Spanish conquest and remained hidden for centuries until American explorer Hiram Bingham rediscovered it in 1911.
Machu Picchu showcases the Incas’ advanced stonework and ingenious use of terrain, making it a classic representation of Incan civilization and a dream destination for travelers worldwide.

Dry Season (May – September): Clear and stable weather, ideal for hiking and photography.

Note: December–February brings the heaviest rainfall; some trails and viewpoints may be closed.
